On behalf of a partner, we were tasked with creating a reliable patch management process for systems running various versions of.NET and C++ runtimes. These updates are often missed by standard patching policies, so we implemented custom rules to ensure coverage and consistency across 150 endpoints.

The patching process included:

• Identification     of required runtime versions across devices
• Creation     of custom update rings and patching logic
• Integration     with Windows Update for Business and existing tooling
• Automated     deployment schedules with no user disruption
• Ongoing     compliance support and visibility into update status

This work helped the client maintain system stability, resolve legacy software conflicts, and meet internal IT compliance standards —all while reducing the risk of software vulnerabilities.
